Calgary Real Estate is very active coming into the first part of this year. Home prices have increased from last year at this time by 7.58% while inventory is well below last year numbers with a drop of 18.26% of available houses for sale. Median house prices are at $424,900 with less than 30 days on the market for February 2014.
I found an interesting article by Warren Buffet that states that investors should treat their equity holdings like real estate purchases focusing on the potential for profits over time rather than short term-term price fluctuations. The goal of the nonprofessional should not be to pick winners. The “know-nothing” investor who both diversifies and keeps his costs minimal is virtually certain to get satisfactory results. This is especially true when buying and selling real estate.
