FALL IS IN THE AIR, THE WEATHER IS COOLING, BUT NOT THE REAL ESTATE MARKET IN CALGARY!
The Calgary resale housing market is poised for a record September in sales and may be on pace to break the MLS sales peak of 2005!
Confidence in the Calgary Real Estate market is being driven by several factors. The population growth we experienced in 2013 is now being felt in the Calgary Real Estate market. With a very low rental vacancy rate, the continued influx of new residents, low interest rates and low unemployment rates are all a strong influence in increasing sales.
The average sale price of a home in Calgary for the month of September is $482,113 which is an increase of 5.73% from September 2013 while the median price has risen by 3.58%. September 2014 is the second highest recorded sales for any month of September in Calgary Real Estate. While the market is traditionally busiest from April to September, predictions are for continuing high activity through October and possibly into the later months of the year.
